What's a Podcast? And How to Subscribe...

A good definition of a "podcast" can be found on the Wikipedia. To subscribe to the Rare Frequency podcast, you will first need to subcribe to this site's Dedicated Podcast RSS Feed. RSS is a standard for syndicating frequently updated content from a site via a newsreader.

Please note that this site has two feeds, one just for podcasts, and one that lists the last 10 posts.

Popular newsreaders include NetNewsWire (Mac) or FeedDemon (PC). Once subscribed, your newsreader will notify you when new posts have been made to this site, and in the case of podcasts, will prompt you to download to your hard drive or iTunes.

Subscribing using iTunes

You can subscribe to the Rare Frequency podcast via the iTunes Podcast Directory. Once subscribed, iTunes will automatically download new episodes as they become available.

If the link above gives you any trouble, you can also manually subscribe in iTunes by following these steps:

  1. Open iTunes
  2. Go to the Advanced menu and choose Subscribe to Podcast...
  3. In the pop-up box that appears, enter (or copy/paste) this URL: http://feeds.feedburner.com/rfPodcasts
