DJ /rupture
On Thursday, August 23 DJ /rupture, host of Mudd Up! on WFMU and DJ extraordinaire, will join me in the studio to play music both new and old. /rupture (a.k.a. Jace Clayton) is a fantastically versatile and inventive DJ, combining a wide variety of genres and styles from breakcore and dubstep to dancehall and hip-hop, so this is sure to be a sonic treat. Among his many achievements, he was one of the founding members of the avant-junglist Toneburst Collective here in Boston in the mid/late nineties.
In lieu of a proper RF interview, here is a link to a recent article that I wrote on DJ /rupture for the Boston Phoenix: Locally Grown: The Return of DJ /rupture
If I get some time in the next day or so, I’ll post my full interview with him.
Note: comments are closed after thirty days.
